OUR HISTORY

La Paz Spanish School was founded by an American in March 1994 as a response to Guatemala’s internal conflict. The school’s hope was to contribute to the country’s peace process by creating a space where change was possible and supporting the local community especially women and children who had the desire for personal growth but limited access to opportunities.

The school has contributed to comprehensive development in collaboration with childcare centers, children's homes, and nursing homes through projects focused on health and education initiatives, as well as housing construction.
